Heart Warming Illustrations Of What Real Love Looks Like By A Korean Artist

We’re all so used to the grandiose tales of love in the movies — running through a crowded airport, sending love letters every single day for ten years, leaving one’s entire life behind — that anything less than trial by combat just seems lazy.

But Korean artist “Puuung” is intent on changing that narrative. “Love is something that everybody can relate to. And Love comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives. So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artwork,” she writes.

With her beautifully-drawn illustrations, Puuung reminds us that when it comes to love, it’s the little things that matter.

Puuung’s works can be found on her grafolio, but here are some of our favorites:

Touching Time-Lapse Of Rescued Puppy Growing Into Adulthood

When filmmaker Dave Meinert rescued a sick four-week old Great Dane puppy named Pegasus from an careless breeder, he wasn’t expecting her to live very long. After all, it had a pigment deficiency defect that leads to deafness and blindness, and most of its siblings were either dead or deformed. Meinert decided he would care for Pegasus the best he could and document her life every day for as long as she lived.

The short video above is a time-lapse showing Pegasus growing from a puppy into adulthood while doing her daily exercises on a treadmill with a camera mounted nearby. Many months into the project, Pegasus is still alive and well. “I still don’t know how long she is going to live, but right now is pretty great,” Meinert says.

In this shocking social experiment youtube prankster Joey Salads shows just how easy it can be for strangers to abduct a child. By approaching children with a cute dog named Donuts, he was able to lure children away from the playground, hand-in-hand, by promising them more puppies to pet.

“Over 700 children are abducted a day. That’s over a quarter-million a year,” Salads explains. “Are your kids safe?”

Robert Gonsalves' Mind-Bending Optical Illusion Art

The beautiful and mind-bending illusions in Canadian artist Robert Gonsalves’ work involves paintings that seamlessly disappear into one another, have a fun way of twisting your perception and causing you to question what in his paintings, if anything, is real. More than the beautiful imagery and technique that has clearly gone into each painting, the effect which is akin to an optical illusion gives the artist the unique opportunity to portray multiple, connected stories in a single frame.

He wants to blow your mind and chances are high that he’s going to succeed.
