Young girls are so often depicted as sweet, cute little princesses in pink. And it’s not that they’re not occasionally those things, but that they’re so much more. They’re also fierce and strong and curious and immensely athletic and just bundles of amazing energy. They’re skinned knees and dirty fingernails and frowny faces and determined, loud, kickass little jocks.
And it’s wonderful to be seen like that and to be allowed to be that.
